NFL Week 12 Picks

No more bye weeks. Full slate of 16 games each week from here on out. And while the Patriots look sure to coast through the remainder of the regular season, at least, plenty of other teams have little to no margin for error if they want to continue playing into January. And that includes the Patriots opponent today, the Eagles, who at 4-6 have almost no choice but to run the table to avoid being labeled as the biggest frauds in recent memory.

On top of them, it's do or die time for the New York Jets, who at 5-5 are pretty much out of the running for the AFC East crown, especially after being swept by the Patriots for the first time since 2007, but their wild-card hopes remain very much alive. Even those free fallin' Buffalo Bills, losers of three in a row, can right the ship by beating the Jets today.

There's much intrigue in the AFC North, where traditional powers Baltimore and Pittsburgh have been joined by the remarkable Cincinnati Bengals, who despite losing their previous two games to their North competition, are in the driver's seat for the second wild-card out of the AFC.

The AFC West is wide-open in a battle between the Raiders and Tebows, and the NFC East looks to be a two-team tilt between the G-Men and 'Boys. The Packers will run away with the NFC North, and their quest to go not only 16-0, but 19-0, is a top story line heading into the season's final month.

Without further ado, the remainder of the Week 12 picks:

Last Week: 5-8-1
Season: 71-81-8
Locks of the Week: 8-3 (Patriots over Chiefs in Week 11)

This Week: 2-1

Home team in CAPS

RAMS (-2.5) over Cardinals

Only appropriate I use a Nickelback song to describe this game after they put on a show in Detroit on Thursday.

JETS (-9.5) over Bills

Without Fred Jackson, the wagons have officially been circled in Buffalo. And now for the weekly Ryan Fitzpatrick update:

Last three games: 2 TD, 7 INT, 54 % completions, 51.9/46.6/45.8 QB ratings. 0-3 record. We'll return next for the latest installment of "how's that extension lookin' now?"

BENGALS (-7) over Browns

The Bengals final 6 games: vs. Cleveland, @ Pittsburgh, vs. Houston, @ St. Louis, vs. Arizona, vs. Baltimore. No excuses not to go 4-2 and as a result, almost certainly lock up a wild-card berth. But they can't blow any of these winnable games, especially at home.

Texans (-6) over JAGUARS

Matt Leinart gets one more chance, and for his sake it couldn't be a better situation. He'll have a chance to lead the Texans into the post-season for the first time ever, and when Matt Schaub returns next year, perhaps get a chance to start again somewhere else. If he self-combusts, it's time to write the "bust" label in permanent marker. Having the best running game in the NFL will certainly help make life easier for the former USC great. And Andre Johnson is finally back.

Panthers (-3.5) over COLTS

I know the Panthers are only 2-8, but how is this line as low as it is? Cam Newton gets to continue his assault on Petyon Manning's rookie passing yards record right in Peyton's Place, albeit without Peyton present. Newton is on pace to throw for 4,616 yards, or 877 more than Manning threw his rookie year in 1998. I'm even bestowing my Lock of the Week upon Cam Newton.

Buccaneers (+3.5) over TITANS
FALCONS (-10) over Vikings

I can almost guarantee the fewest highlights on Sportscenter tonight will emerge from these two games. Which is strange because Chris Johnson and Adrian Peterson are both involved. But Peterson's out injured, and Chris Johnson traveled back in time to when Space Jam was filmed and had his talent zapped out of him by aliens.

RAIDERS (-3) over Bears

The AFC West is there for the taking, Oakland. Time for Carson Palmer to justify the hefty ransom the ghost of Al Davis gave up to acquire him. And if the Raiders can't beat Caleb Haine.....

Broncos (+5.5) over CHARGERS

....They'll be tied with the Tim Tebow's for the AFC West lead. And I can't imagine how the world could fall from it's axis if Tebowmania hits the January stage.

SEAHAWKS (-3.5) over Redskins

Tarvaris Jackson vs. Rex Grossman. And if they get benched, Charlie Whitehurst vs. John Beck. How could two teams be so depleted at the quarterback position? At least there's long-term hope in Seattle that Pete Carroll will reunite with Matt Barkley at the draft this April, but Washington passed on Andy Dalton this past April. Seems like the 'Skins haven't had a decent quarterback since Sonny Jurgensen was flinging the ball around in the 1940's.

Patriots (-3) over EAGLES

What seemed like a potential Super Bowl preview in August is now just another game on the docket, with the Eagles pretty much moving into Hospice care. They're final 5 games don't feature anything too terribly challenging (@ Seattle, @ Miami, vs. NY Jets, @ Dallas, vs. Washington), but it seems foolish to assume anything with the Eagles this season. Speaking of the 2006 QB draft class, Vince Young is another guy who, like Leinart, can play himself into a potential starting position next year with a strong showing down the stretch here (depending on how long Mike Vick is out). That game above this one? VY could easily be an upgrade for either of those teams. It amazes me how many mediocre quarterbacks are currently in the landscape.

Steelers (-10.5) over CHIEFS

Tyler Palko posted a 49.9 rating against the Patriots defense. Shouldn't that mean he could challenge a negative rating against the Steelers?

SAINTS (-7.5) over Giants

The Giants brutal schedule looks to be finally catching up to them, and with Dallas's win on Thanksgiving, they now have to win just to keep pace. I ain't betting against Brees in a dome on Monday night though.

Thanksgiving Quick Picks

Packers (-4) over LIONS

12:30 is way too early for a game the day after Thanksgiving Eve, and usually this one isn't a problem. But not this year. This could be the game of the season, for all we know. That over/under of 55? Way over. Rodgers is currently on pace for only 5,069 passing yards, 15 yards short of Marino's record. Look for him to get back on track to break it.

COWBOYS (-7) over Dolphins

The Dolphins have won their last three games by an aggregate of 389-7 seemingly. And don't get me wrong, they've looked very impressive. But at the end of the day, they're still 3-7, and this winning streak has consisted of the Chiefs, Redskins, and Bills (combined record during the Dolphins winning streak: 0-9). Also, Tony Romo is 4-0 on Thanksgiving.

RAVENS (-3.5) over 49ers

There's no question anymore over whether the 49ers are legitimate or not. They haven't just been fattening up on the NFC West. They also have quality wins over Cincinnati, Detroit, and the Giants. Their only loss, to the Cowboys, came in overtime. But I can't overlook the travel aspect here. The Ravens played at home on Sunday, and haven't had to leave Baltimore since they returned from Seattle on November 14. The 9ers traveled across three time zones to get here. It's two evenly matched teams, with elite defenses and running backs, and two quarterbacks who often leave something to be desired. Tie goes to the home team.

NFL Week 11 Picks

No question I've been slacking with the blogs lately. All I've been doing is these NFL picks every week. But hey, I've been knocking out some radio shows, calling women's hoops, and some club hockey. Even got to announce a fight last night during the game it was every bit as epic as I imagined it'd be. What does all of this have to do with the NFL in Week 11? Absolutely nothing. So without further ado, the picks:

This Week: 1-0
Last Week: 9-7
Season: 66-73-7
Locks of the Week: 7-3 (Patriots over Jets in Week 10)

Home team in CAPS

FALCONS (-6.5) over Titans

The week after the Patriots went for it on 4th and 2 against the Colts in 2009, they rebounded with a 31-14 win against the Jets. The Falcons situation a week ago is the closest we've seen to Belichick's gamble since it happened. I'm guessing they respond.

Bills (+2.5) over DOLPHINS

The Bills still have an outside shot at a wild-card spot, making this game against the Dolphins a must-win. Despite Buffalo's struggles of late, Fred Jackson is still the NFL's leading rusher and is third in yards per rush, behind only Mike Vick and DeMarco Murray.

RAVENS (-7) over Bengals

No A.J. Green should make things even more difficult for Andy Dalton than they would have been today going up against the Ravens D, which will be without Ray Lewis. Shouldn't matter.

Jaguars (+1.5) over BROWNS

Reading highlights of the Texas game last night, I saw that their quarterback, Case McCoy, was 8 for 16 for a mere 80 yards. It got me thinking, can his older brother Colt surpass that total this afternoon?

VIKINGS (-2) over Raiders

Minnesota can't completely waste a season in which Jared Allen looks sure to break Michael Strahan's single-season sack record, can they? Not to mention another solid performance from Adrian Peterson, who may be asking out of the land of 10,000 lakes any day now.

LIONS (-7) over Panthers

A match-up of probably the two players who are the most fun to play with in this year's Madden, Calvin Johnson and Cam Newton. Johnson's supporting cast is just a bit better than Newton's, is it not?

PACKERS (-13.5) over Buccaneers

I'm slowly resigning myself to the fact that the Patriots 16-0 season is about to be matched, and growing even more frustrated that another team might even be able to finish it off and go 19-0. It would be something else if it was indeed a Packers-Patriots Super Bowl and New England had the chance to prevent it from happening eh?

Cowboys (-7) over REDSKINS
49ERS (-10) over Cardinals

Are there two more frustrating teams to watch than the Redskins and Cardinals? I mean sure the Cards at least have Larry Fitzgerald but other than that is there a single decent offensive player on either roster at this point? Can't over-think these kinds of games; the team with more talent should win. And it's pretty clear both the Boys and 9ers have the talent advantage.

RAMS (-3) over Seahawks

BEARS (-4) over Chargers

Here's what I've realized about the Bears over the past several weeks: they're real, and they're spectacular.

GIANTS (-6) over Eagles

Both Vince Young and Matt Leinart being named their team's starters this week, but unfortunately we'll have to wait until next week to see Leinart play. Or fortunately, depending on how you look at it. I tell ya if you told me after that epic 2006 Rose Bowl that neither Young nor Leinart would succeed in the NFL I would have looked at you as if you had three eyes. Still shocking.

PATRIOTS (-15) over Chiefs

I was pumped for Matt Cassel to make his triumphant return to New England. Instead we get Tyler Palko. I'll probably be focusing more on Bruins-Canadiens tomorrow night as a result.

NFL Week 10 Picks

It's most certainly at that point in the season where teams start to fall into different tiers. The "contenders" and "pretenders", or the "good", "bad", "ugly", and "Colts". There's many different ways to slice it on down. Come mid-week, I'll give a good ol' set of Power Rankings to help differentiate the teams that have no shot at winning the Super Bowl, to the teams that have somewhat of a shot, to the teams with a damn good shot. Till then, here's the Week 10 picks.

This Week: 0-1
Last Week: 6-7
Season: 57-66-7
Locks of the Week: 6-3 (Saints over Buccaneers in Week 9)

Home team in CAPS

Steelers (-4) over BENGALS

Can't see the Steelers dropping two in a row to AFC North teams. And I'm fully aware the Bengals are 6-2 but they're only win against a team with a winning record is the Bills. Not exactly a marquee victory. We'll know a lot more about how real the Bengals are in two weeks after they face Pittsburgh and then Baltimore the following week.

Broncos (+3) over CHIEFS

The power of Tebow compels you! The power of Tebow compels you! But seriously he's had a QB rating of 90 or higher in three of his four starts. And the Broncos are seriously thinking of giving Brady Quinn a shot?

Jaguars (-3) over COLTS

I seriously think the Big East could try to add the Colts to try and save their automatic BCS bid and it wouldn't help their cause.

COWBOYS (-5.5) over Bills

Since his 253-yard breakout performance, DeMarco Murray has carried the ball 8 times for 74 yards against the Eagles (9.3 yards per carry) and 22 times for 139 yards against the Seahawks (6.3). Apparently he ain't just a flash in the pan.

Texans (-4) over BUCCANEERS)

Albert Haynesworth starting for the Bucs. Reason enough to go against Tampa.

PANTHERS (-3.5) over Titans

Cam Newton's halfway stats have him on a pace for 4,786 yards. That would OBLITERATE Peyton Manning's rookie record of 3,739 passing yards from 1998. He's already been involved in 18 touchdowns (11 passing, 7 rushing). Not only will he win offensive rookie of the year, but we're going to have to start talking about this as perhaps the best rookie season EVER in the NFL.

DOLPHINS (-4) over Redskins

The Dolphins just can't get out of their own way. They crush KC last week, and now get another gimme in the Redskins who are going back to Rex Grossman. That's right. From Grossman to Beck and back again. Sounds like a cheap horror movie.

Saints (PK) over FALCONS

If there's any team that can stand up to the Packers in the NFC, I truly feel like it's the Saints. Let's not forget they were a goal line stand away from sending that Packers game into OT on opening night back in September. First things first though, they have to gain control of the NFC South. Putting away their biggest competition in the Falcons here would be a great first step.

Lions (+3) over BEARS

Lions can grab hold of the top wild-card spot in the NFC with a win over the surging Bears, who seem just a little bit overdue for a Jay Cutler stinkbomb.

BROWNS (-2.5) over Rams

Big game for the Browns, defending their honor as Cleveland's true football team. The Rams originally hailed from Cleveland before their stop in LA before settling in St. Louis. That's all I have to say about this one.

EAGLES (-13) over Cardinals

I shouldn't trust the Eagles with such a big line, but at the same time, I shouldn't trust John Skelton on the road either. It's do or die time for Eagles, too, who can afford at most one more loss the rest of the way before this season blows up completely.

Ravens (-7) over SEAHAWKS

Has Flacco finally figured it out? He looked pretty damned good in leading the Ravens on a game-winning drive against the Steelers last Sunday. Seahawks have letdown game written all over it, but the AFC is wide open right now. It's there for the Ravens' taking.

Giants (+4) over 49ERS

I'm done. I can't deny it anymore. It's been killing me inside, and I hate to admit this to the public, but.....Eli Manning is a top-flight NFL quarterback. I'm gonna go light myself on fire now.

Patriots (+2) over JETS

As I'm writing this, even Chris Berman just picked against the Pats. I don't think he's picked against them since about 2002. Which is also the last time the Pats lost 3 in a row. It's a must-win for New England tonight no questions asked. Might as well make it a Lock of the Week here out of desperation.

PACKERS (-13) over Vikings

Aaron Rodgers won't just fall down and let Jared Allen break the NFL single-season sack record like a certain former Packers quarterback.

Thursday Night Pick

Welp with the NFL starting up their Thursday night schedule tonight, I'm gonna have to start making weekly Thursday night picks. If that sounds like I'm complaining it's because I am. No NFL Network in our plan down here with Verizon. Granted the Pats don't play any Thursday nighters but nevertheless.

Tonight's game is a "battle" for 1st place in the AFC West, pitting the Chargers against the Raiders. The teams have lost a combined 5 games in a row, with San Diego dropping 3 in a row by a combined 16 points, and Oakland losing the first two games of the Carson Palmer era--while watching Palmer throw 6 INTs in those two starts. As many as Aaron Rodgers, Alex Smith, and Tim Tebow combined. I don't think I could have picked a more odd array of QBs there but the facts are the facts. So give me CHARGERS (-7) over Raiders in friendly San Diego tonight.

Guess I Should Chime in on Penn St

There are a few topics in sports I refuse to talk about, write about, or bring up on the radio. Steroids/HGH would be one of them; that's already been beat into the ground mercilessly over the past decade. This whole conference realignment saga in college sports is so sickening that it's taking away the innocence of college athletics. My grandfather, for example, is one of those hardliners who hates professional sports because "they're a bunch of overpaid bums". Can't argue with that, but what about college administrators? I also refuse to talk NASCAR or WNBA, but I don't think anyone will hold that against me. Generally speaking, I really only like to discuss what's actually going on ON the field/court/ice/etc.

And then Joe Paterno got fired.

This weekend will mark the first time since 1949 than JoePa hasn't been on the Penn State sideline for a game in some capacity; Harry Truman was still in office, the Cleveland Indians were the defending World Series champions (and haven't won since), and the Three Stooges were in the height of the Shemp Era. Basically, I have no choice but to chime in on this if I want to stay credible as someone opinionated on sports.

First things first: the only TRUE villain in this situation is Jerry Sandusky. There's a special place in hell for child molesters I'd like to think, and they say nobody gets it worse in prison than those sick people.

But I can't let JoePa off scot-free here either. No he didn't rape any children himself. That needs to be abundantly clear. But at the same time....just how is it humanly possible to turn a blind eye to such a heinous act? Paterno reportedly became aware of Sandusky's transgressions as far back as 2002, and while he didn't do "nothing" about it, all he did was tell the Penn State Athletic Director, who did in fact do "nothing". Paterno failed to follow up the AD's decision to not inform police by doing the exact same thing--nothing--keeping the secret inside of State College's football stadium.

And as they say, if you aren't part of the solution, you're a part of the problem. Paterno could have brought this attention to authorities when notified, and while it still would have gained monumental headlines, JoePa's legacy would remain secured. This is a man, after all, who in 46 seasons, had never broken an NCAA rule. This isn't USC. This isn't The U. Never banned from a bowl game. Never stripped of scholarships or victories. Won two National Championships. He's won more regular season games and bowl games than any other coach in Division I history.

Yet all of those great accomplishments will wind up being but a footnote in the Joe Paterno story. I always envisioned that JoePa would collapse on the sidelines during a game at age 94 or something, and that would be the way he would bow out. No one could ever tell him to stop coaching; no one would dare have the courage to tell him to stop coaching. It's all he's ever done.

There's no doubt the Penn State Board of Trustees made the right decision in canning Paterno. The decision shouldn't even have had to been made. If Paterno did indeed want to leave on his own terms, he should have done so by re-signing from his position as the story gained steam. It would have been one last chance for him to salvage any sort of honor out of this situation. He leaves behind a Penn State football team that is, oh by the way, the last remaining undefeated team in Big Ten play (5-0, 8-1 overall). A Rose Bowl berth looks promising. And should they indeed achieve that goal, of course they should go ahead and play. This has absolutely nothing, zero, NOTHING to do with any of the players currently on that roster. Other than the victims of Sandusky, the Nittany Lion players are the biggest losers in this situation. A once-promising season derailed by unprecedented scandal and controversy.

Penn State has made the right decision to clean house here, removing Paterno, the President, the AD, and seemingly countless other positions. Depending how much they all exactly knew, and so far it seems like they knew just about everything, the fact that Sandusky was still allowed access to the Penn State football program and facilities is completely and utterly disgusting. Reports even say he was on campus as recently as last week. Mind-boggling. A new beginning is exactly what the school needs, from the top on down. It truly couldn't have ended any worse for JoePa. Just an absolute Shakespearean tragedy that the man formerly regarded as one of the classiest, if not most classy, men in the world of college sports is going down in the books as the harborer of a child molester.

And one last thing too. The students rioting? I ain't mad at them. It's college. We live for the opportunity to do crazy stuff like that. But  rather than defending Paterno, I think I'd turn the tables a bit and make in anti-Sandusky. Because everyone defending Paterno out there right now looks damn foolish. Wouldn't YOU have turned in Sandusky?

NFL Week 9 Picks

The unofficial halfway point of the NFL season. I already covered much of my halfway points on the radio the other day, but in case you missed it, here's a review:

  • It's Aaron Rodgers' MVP to lose
  • Cam Newton could not play another snap and he'd win offensive Rookie of the Year unanimously
  • Rodgers, Brady, Brees all remain on pace to break Dan Marino's single-season passing yards record (5,084)
  • Chris Johnson has rushed for the same number of yards (302) as Jackie Battle and Daniel Thomas, fewer than Delone Carter, and overall is on pace for a meager 690 yards on 2.8 yards per carry
  • Pat Angerer, Colts linebacker, has 90 tackles, more than 20 more than anyone in the NFL. I looked it up.
  • Wes Welker leads the NFL in receptions (57), and is followed by a pair of Saints you wouldn't expect: Darren Sproles and Jimmy Graham. Welker is on pace for 130 catches, and would pass himself for 2nd all-time for catches in a single season. Marvin Harrison holds the record at 143
  • The Buffalo Bills are in first place in the AFC East
  • The Cincinnati Bengals are currently the top wild-card team in the AFC
  • This means there is a very real possibility that the Bengals, Bills, and Lions could all make the playoffs in the same season. Three of the most moribund, woe-is-me franchises in the NFL. The last time all three played into January in the same year? Never.
  • The Philadelphia Eagles are just 3-4 yet by no means dead yet.
  • Tebowmania!
  • I didn't even pick the Packers to make it to the NFC Championship Game before the season.
  • My Super Bowl pick of Patriots vs. Saints? Still a possibility I guess. Barely.
After this weekend, every team will have played at least 8 games, or half their schedule. It's an exciting week for sure, with 6 of the 13 games pitting opponents against one another with .500 records or better. And that doesn't include the Eagles-Bears match-up on Monday night. Making it a pretty difficult week to pick, which is bad news for this guy, because at said halfway point I'm 7 games below the .500 mark. Anyways onto the Week 9 picks.

Last Week: 4-8-1
Season: 51-58-7
Locks of the Week: 5-3 (Eagles over Cowboys in Week 8)

Home team in CAPS

Falcons (-6.5) over COLTS

I was playing Madden this week, choosing teams by the "3 then a 4th" method in which you get to randomly select 3 teams and if you aren't satisfied, you random a 4th but have to be that team. Welp I got a little greedy after getting the Browns, Redskins, and Vikings, and figured my 4th would be a much better team. Nope. Got the Colts. And under house rules, we aren't allowed to put in injured players.

Needless to say I was down 31-0 at the half to Frankie. And I've beaten him 7 out of our last 9 match-ups. That's really all I can say about the Colts that hasn't already been said. They're a Madden nightmare.

SAINTS (-8.5) over Buccaneers

I'm still trying to figure out how the Saints lost a Rams team without Sam Bradford. Their lack of a running game, or a refusal to even use it, is becoming an issue and until it gets resolved, it's hard to fathom how they could make another run at the Lombardi.

Having said that, everybody knows their a different team at the Superdome. I'd like to think Drew Brees will have a monster bounce-back performance. I'm even gonna make this one the Lock of the Week.

BILLS (-2.5) over Jets

Bills come back home after playing a joke of a "home" game in Toronto. Huge game in determining the pecking order in the AFC East here. Jets win and it's a legitimate 3-horse race. Bills win and the Jets are in some serious trouble. I don't see these Jets winning their 3rd consecutive game, do you? 4-0 at home, 0-3 on the road. Play the law of averages.

Dolphins (+5) over CHIEFS

The Chiefs have a -42 point differential despite winning 4 games in a row after that 0-3 start. Matt Cassel has been you're ultimate Jekyl and Hyde quarterback, as he's posted a QB rating of 100 or better three times, and a rating below 70 four. Nothing in between. Even in that 28-0 win against Oakland, he posted a season-low 38.3. And the Dolphins are too competitive for their own good and are bound to win a game or three to play themselves right of of the Andrew Luck sweepstakes. Kansas City is an excellent place for them to finally break through.

49ers (-5) over REDSKINS
COWBOYS (-11) over Seahawks

Any game in which John Beck or Tarvaris Jackson is involved, you look the other way. And when their backups are Rex Grossman and Charlie Whitehurst, just keep on looking.

RAIDERS (-7) over Broncos

Carson Palmer makes his first start for the Raiders; Tim Tebow makes what could be his last start for the Broncos. Honest question: why pull the plug on Tebow so soon? It's a three game sample size you've had to work with here, people. And I know he hasn't been very good. He's been pretty terrible, as a matter of fact. But your season is already going nowhere in Denver, and Brady Quinn is your alternative in terms of "the future"? Seems like you're already damned if you do or don't. So dammit, ride out Tebow and give the man a chance.

While we're here maybe it's time to stop vilifying the Broncos for trading Peyton Hillis for Brady Quinn. Sure Cleveland got one good year out of Hillis but uh....that one isn't going to end well, to put it nicely.

Bengals (+2.5) over TITANS

The unlikeliest of our six match-ups pitting winners against one another. You're darned right I'm ready to live in a world where the Bengals are 6-2. It's just too bad Andy Dalton had to come into the league the same year as Cam Newton, A.J. Green for that matter too. Both are having very impressive rookie campaigns.

Rams (+2.5) over CARDINALS

No Kolb for 'Zona, possibly no Bradford for St. Louie. Guess I'm taking the points. Then again, St. Louis was expected to contend for the NFC West title. Maybe last week was what they've been trying to do all along?

PATRIOTS (-9.5) over Giants

Just know that I'm extremely relieved neither Ahmad Bradshaw nor Hakeem Nicks will play in this game.

Packers (-5.5) over CHARGERS

Far and away the most intriguing game of the week. Packers try to stay undefeated, Chargers try to put their halt on yet another free fall. Game will come down to Philip Rivers playing like the real Philip Rivers, not like the ghost of Ryan Leaf kicking around in a Chargers uniform.

STEELERS (-3.5) over Ravens

Here we go. Forget Patriots-Jets or Giants-Eagles or Patriots-Colts, this is the premier rivalry in the NFL right now. And expect tonight to be yet another blood bath between two teams that genuinely hate each other. You've got rapists, terrorist sympathizers, murderers, baby daddy's, guys with DUIs, and James Harrison running around this field.

Interesting story about Ray Rice, who fits the category of "baby daddy". In a story where I have no legitimate source other than a friend of a friend who attends Rutgers, Rice's alma mater, Rice had an interesting method of avoiding causing pregnancy's. The story is too graphic to be printed, but if you really want to know, just ask around and I'm sure you'll find out.

EAGLES (-7.5) over Bears

Sure you can look at the Eagles two game winning streak and say all they've done is beat the Redskins and Cowboys. Well at the time both teams were in front of them in the standings at the time, and the Eagles caught up to them. They're doing what they need to do. I still think this team could go on a crazy run and finish 11-5. Time to fly like an eagle.
