Thanksgiving Quick Picks

Packers (-4) over LIONS

12:30 is way too early for a game the day after Thanksgiving Eve, and usually this one isn't a problem. But not this year. This could be the game of the season, for all we know. That over/under of 55? Way over. Rodgers is currently on pace for only 5,069 passing yards, 15 yards short of Marino's record. Look for him to get back on track to break it.

COWBOYS (-7) over Dolphins

The Dolphins have won their last three games by an aggregate of 389-7 seemingly. And don't get me wrong, they've looked very impressive. But at the end of the day, they're still 3-7, and this winning streak has consisted of the Chiefs, Redskins, and Bills (combined record during the Dolphins winning streak: 0-9). Also, Tony Romo is 4-0 on Thanksgiving.

RAVENS (-3.5) over 49ers

There's no question anymore over whether the 49ers are legitimate or not. They haven't just been fattening up on the NFC West. They also have quality wins over Cincinnati, Detroit, and the Giants. Their only loss, to the Cowboys, came in overtime. But I can't overlook the travel aspect here. The Ravens played at home on Sunday, and haven't had to leave Baltimore since they returned from Seattle on November 14. The 9ers traveled across three time zones to get here. It's two evenly matched teams, with elite defenses and running backs, and two quarterbacks who often leave something to be desired. Tie goes to the home team.
